The 2008 recipents of the American Peony Socities Award of Landscape Merit, ALM, are shown in the following movie maker presentation. The ALM is a cultivar performance classification denoting superior suitability for use in modern landscapes. The classification is established primarily to identify peony cultivars having the natural habit of standing without extra mechanical support throughout their flowering period and cultivars will exhibit a year to year reliability of a showy and sustained flowering display, vigor and disease resistance and seasonal durability of foliage. In short the ALM recipients are like peonies on steroids!
